A 78-year-old serial killer named Samuel Little who has been convicted has confessed that he has committed 90 murders in the United States over the past several decades, the FBI told this week.
The agency told on Tuesday that it is working with local as well as state agents and detectives for determining if all Samuel Little’s confessions are true or not.
“Little’s run-ins with the law date way back to the year 1956, and one can easily see the clear signs of a dark, violent streak in his many fraud, shoplifting, solicitation, drug, and breaking and entering charges,” the FBI told in a statement. “However, law enforcement has only begun untangling the true extent of his crimes recently.”
Little started to confess to the crimes once he lost an appeal last spring to the life sentences which he is serving for strangling three women between the year 1987 and 1989 in California.
He was convicted of those three murders in the year 2014.
“In all three murder cases, the women were beaten and then strangled, their bodies were known to be dumped in a garage, an alley and a dumpster,” the FBI told.
Till now, FBI investigators have been able to confirm 34 killings which were described by Little, with a lot more cases pending.
Little is known to be one of the most prolific serial killers in the history of the US.
